Submit the form below to sign up for the Plates for Paws 2 benefit Deadlift Competition. Single repetition Deadlift "Ladder" to a max attempt: - All lifters will weigh-in day-of prior to event start (11:00am 12/28/2024) - All lifters will gather around the lifting platform/event location at the same time - All lifts are to be performed "Conventional" stance only (bar in-front of both legs, hands outside the knees) - The bar will be loaded incrementally starting at 135 lbs. with every lifter performing a single rep with the given weight loaded - Each lifter will have up-to 60-seconds to complete a lift with multiple attempts allowed within that 60-second time - Once a lifter can no longer perform a successful repetition or chooses to stop, then they are out and their previous best lift is marked as their max - A "good lift" is determined by positive lockout; hitching/ramping is allowed (think Strongman rules) - Down commands will be given by judge Equipment: Belt - Allowed Wrist Straps - Allowed Wrist Wraps - Allowed Deadlift suit - Not Allowed Awards given for: Most overall weight Best overall lift:bodyweight Most weight for men Most weight for women Best lift:bodyweight for men Best lift:bodyweight for women
